Frank Seiberling founded The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in 1898. It is the third largest tire manufacturer in the world after Bridgestone and Michelin today. Goodyear manufactures tires for automobiles, SUV’s, commercial trucks, race cars, airplanes, and heavy earth-mover machinery.

The Goodyear engineers set a goal to produce redesigned tires that could keep up in today's extreme off roading events and on the street.
